Welcome to the Fox Creek Inn, a romantic Vermont country Inn, minutes to Killington

Nestled in a private valley on seven acres and surrounded by the Green Mountain National Forest, Fox Creek Inn is the perfect getaway to experience a Vermont country inn. Our location feels remote, and certainly does assure peace and tranquility, but we are delightfully close to many local attractions and outside activities. We are located between Killington/Pico mountains and downtown Rutland. Additionally, Woodstock, Quechee Gorge, Middlebury and Manchester are all just a gentle 45 minute drive away.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG!

The Tulip Magnolia tree near the front door is in full bloom now.  It's typically the first sign of spring at Fox Creek Inn and doesn't last long.  Guests often mistake it for a "Pussywillow Tree" during the winter because of the large fuzzy buds on the bare branches.  In bloom it's a thing of beauty that you might not associate with a magnolia tree.  The blossoms look like a Shasta Daisy on steroids!  It only blooms for a short time and when the blossoms drop off, it appears that it has snowed on the ground below.  The various other trees on the property are also starting to show signs of greening/redding up.  The thousands of Lily of the Valley are shooting up out of the ground and triliums and daffodils can be seen here and there.  The summer sitting-on-the-porch furniture is out of storage and waiting for you to come enjoy some time listening to the birds and the creek while enjoying a cup of coffee/tea or glass of wine.

With only eight rooms we can ensure highly personalized attention for all of our guests. Our breakfasts are prepared with the freshest local ingredients and are designed to suit all tastes and dietary needs.

While the Inn and our amenities might make you want to just kick back and relax, we are perfectly located for year round outside activities. In the spring and summer we are a center for activities such as hiking, cycling, mountain biking, kayaking and fishing. Vermont's spectacular fall foliage may be seen from a canoe on the lake or from a gondola ride to the top of Killington, where you can see the breathtaking canopy from above.

Our winters are crisp and cold, typically with good powdery snow. We are less than two miles from world class cross country skiing and snowshoeing, so you can be on a trail within minutes of the inn and downhill skiing at Killington is less than 15 minutes away.

Fox Creek Inn is comfortable and welcoming on the inside and exhilarating on the outside. Come and explore or sit and relax, either way you are sure to enjoy Vermont at its very best.
