In the winter months Killington and Pico have plenty of runs for alpine skiers, while a two minute drive to Mountain Top Nordic Ski and Snowshoe Center brings you to more than 80 kilometers of trails for classic and skate skiing. The Catamount Trail and Vermont Association of Snow Travelers snowmobile trails are just outside the door of the Fox Creek Inn. These wooded trails which are great for cross country skiing and snow shoeing, are also perfect for just an invigorating walk through a winter wonderland, no extra foot apparel required!
In the summer, Killington boasts more than 45 miles of mountain bike trails with 1700 feet of vertical drop. The K-1 Gondola gives riders of all ages and abilities lift assisted access to downhill singletrack, jumps, drops and berms (for the aggressive riders) and more tame, easy and scenic trails (for the beginners). Killington Resort offers everything from classic cross country singletrack to challenging big-bike downhill and freeriding trails. As a Kona "Groove Approved" Mountain Bike Park, Killington offers a full rental fleet of Kona trail, freeride and downhill mountain bikes.
We are two miles from the Chittenden Reservoir. This 640-acre mountain lake is the ideal place to spend a warm summer day. Swim, fish or take out a canoe or a kayak--a nice fellow down the road rents them.
We have outlets to shop and more antique stores to brouse than you could handle in a long vacation. There are museums and galleries to spend your afternoons in, or you could visit one of our local artists or outstanding craftsmen.

 If you favor the links, there are five 18-hole golf courses within 20 minutes of the inn. There are also a few 9-hole courses and three driving ranges. Tennis and horseback riding are also close by.
Over the years we have noticed many guests come to the inn with great intentions of being active, but suddenly realize what they really want to do is sit on our front porch and watch the forest grow, or curl up by one of our fireplaces with a good book.
Although there are many kinds of amusements here, there are no theme parks and no crowds. The only way you will not have fun in Vermont is if you don't come to visit.
